Frederick Craik Stewart 1894-1935

Stewart was born in Gourock, Renfrewshire he attended The Glasgow School of Art from 1913 to 1915 as a day student of drawing and painting and received the Highland Society bursary of £10. Stewart served in the First World War, as 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery after the war stewart became a teacher of drawing and during this period he wote a book called “Lino-Cutting for Schools” in 1934 as F Craik Stewart.
