Henry John Lintott
Henry John Lintott 1877-1965 ARSA 1916, RSA 1923
Born Brighton he studied at Brighton, South Kensington, Paris and Italy. He was associated with the Scottish School as he was appointed to the staff of Edinburgh College of art in 1902 and became an important member of staff during the years of great development and creativity. He was known for his large canvases of women in graceful dance or song but also painted more intimate Landscapes His second wife Audrey Lintott also painted.
