Kurt (also Curt) Meyer-Eberhardt (1895 – 1977 ), was a German painter, graphic artist and illustrator. He studied at the Weimar Academy of Fine Arts, where he became a student under the artists Theodor Hagen and Lionel Feininger.
He is known to a wide audience through his animal representations in drypoint etching. These were printed from 1916 until after his death by Hanfstaengl publishing.
He rejected a professorship in Weimar and went to Munich in 1918, where he decided to work entirely on animal engravings. His early work until the early 1920s reflects various art movements of the late 19th and early 20th century. His later paintings are mainly landscapes, animal portraits and still life.
