Assur Michaelson

Assur Michaelson was born in 1870 in London. Son of Herman Michaelson of London. He studied at Gilinour’s Day School, and at St. John’s Wood Art School, Heatherley’s, and Royal Academy. During his career Michaelson became one of the Principals of the St. John’s Wood Art Schools.

Portraits and subject picures by Michaelson were exhibited in Royal Academy, Grafton Gallery, Royal Society of British Artists, Salon, international and provincial exhibitions.

Michaelson was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists.
